Property taxes are the only thing that changes. You only pay property taxes in the county you are living in. Which is usually cheaper, unless you are in Oldham Co. Occupational Taxes are in every county, but you only pay that in the county you work in, not in both countys.
An Officer does not pay more because they choose to move out of Jefferson. Chances are they will end up paying less.
Plus it is nice not having somebody knocking on your door at midnight because their neighbor had his stereo turned up too loud 2 weeks ago, and wanted to talk to you about it.
