People dismissing cases without a good reason may get some extra attention now that the Conway incident was in the national media. Not everyone's convinced things are as harmless as they appear.

You are a RETARD!!!! In one breath you point out that the court system is to blame for our court mess, which is very true. Then you blame the top for our woes. All of us hard working cops would not miss court for squat - bottom line. Last I checked we were all supposed to be adults in this profession so how about US taking some personal responsibility for our own job/actions. My SGT, LT and Major damn sure are not looking to get me or my fellow platoon mates in trouble. WE get in our own trouble, believe me they don't want to do the paperwork on someone getting in trouble in my division. Then again, the guys and ladies I work with are responsible and are willing to accept responsibility for their actions without blaming someone else. Believe that is called grown up.

Sure, but not going to court just allows them to blame you. Instead of rolling over - try at every opportunity to get your objections to deals on the record. It'll drive 'em nuts. Don't leave after the conference, stick around and speak up in front of the judge.
