Louisville Records 37th Homicide

It is taking 40 minutes to respond to loud music complaints because, thanks to Jerry, the police department is short on manpower. Officers are dispatched to calls for service based on the type of priority. For example, a burglary to a residence, an alarm activated or an auto accident all take priority over a call for loud music. With one officer, sometimes two on weekends, patrolling a 5 to 10 square mile radius (sometimes larger in suburban areas) it is diificult to be at all places at all times. Officers can only make one call for service at a time. And like I said, some calls take priority over loud music. I am sorry you feel like nothing is being done.

DUDE you really don't understand! When there are 10 officers riding from 1 block south of Broadway to near Iroquois Park and there are 300 calls for service, the police have to respond to priority calls FIRST! We don't make the priority list.

Shootings, stabbings, injury accidents, mental patients, fights, robberies, rapes, child abuse, hold ups, break-ins, must be made first. I think you get my point. SO when WE are making all those calls and you call in for loud music and there are NO OFFICERS CLEAR to make runs, and when they do clear, they are sent on another HIGH PRIORITY CALL, it will take 45 minutes to get to your Low priority call.

Everyone thinks that we as POLICE are not HUMANS! I hate loud music, littering, bullies, and agressive drunks as much as you do. Trust me I have written citations and arrested hundreds and hundereds of people for the "SMALL" stuff and NOTHING HAPPENS IN COURT!!!! so after the 1000th time I write a citations for noise and NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING HAPPENS IN COURT!!!! as an officer you lose the will to write those citation....But most of us still continue to write the small stuff when we haveeeeee a free minute! Many Officer agree about the broken window theory. The small stuff leads to the big stuff, so we try to take care of that when possible.

I bet you as a monday morning quaterback get a chance to eat everyday, while I get to go through a burger joint on my way to my 25th call for the day, and stuff it down as I drive down the road, hoping to eat it all before I get there. SO SHUT UP!!!!
