Washington D.C Police Officers Get Big Pay Hike |
RE: Washington D.C Police Officers Get Big Pay Hike
If it was as easy as 'run for office' the clowns we have 'representing' us would be gone!! We all know how it works, though. If your not one of the 'buddies' sitting at the bar, well, you're wasting everyone's time.
We need to get rid of the whole system, if you ask me. Our FOP presidents have done nothing more than politic for themselves, setting up a good job after retirement. For example...Ray Franklin- cushy state job, Cubby-US Marshal's office, David James-Ky Bureau of Inv.... etc
RE: Washington D.C Police Officers Get Big Pay Hike
I do believe that Some FOP officers are paid is that correct?

If you don't like it than why did you run for a position on the board? It is your job to take care of the membership....what have you done lately? Let's think......well.......well.....that's right not a thing. Maybe we are wrong and you guys are doing a lot of work behind the scenes but if that is the case then you desire to hear us complain because you are treating us no better than the mayor. We all need to remember that this President was appointed and not elected so things can change.
And why would anyone want to come to a meeting and be told to shut up and sit down and that we don't have the right to know what is going on in OUR union. Because this is exactly what happened during the meeting prior to the last contract vote!

you know what? I think you might just get your wish! A LOT of us are sick and tired of taking it in the rear from the mayor and the administration, and the FOP not doing a damn thing! Worse than that- we're told 'well if you don't like it, then come join us and change things!' All we're asking for is a little info from the fop be given to us that pay for the board's phones and pagers and fun little trips, and let us know what's going on with OUR 'union'.
Better yet, maybe we need to look at getting the teamsters to represent us. I hear they keep members up to speed...
