Courier-Journal's mistake twisted into police scrutiny

Given the way Gannett works now, wouldn't surprise me that no one noticed the body. Maybe it was originally intended to be cropped, or maybe someone down in the food chain remembered that the CJ intentionally printed a dead body pic in 1989 - when they also caught a lot of grief from family members. (At least, then, the admitted they did it absolutely intentionally.)

Guess what, folks, this is what murder looks like - not the tidy body in the funeral parlor, but the gory body sprawled out on the street, surrounded by strangers.
