The General Assembly has much bigger statewide issues to worry about.

1. Funding for highway projects.

2. Bridge construction.

3. Growing heroin problem.

4. Funding for education.

5. Medicaid/Passport

6. Prison overcrowding.

100. Legislation for 12 hour work days, so that LMPD can have 12 hour shifts.

The sorry part is they are going to pay out about the same amount of money in overtime with 8 hour shifts with no overlap they would have paid on 12's. 3 platoons, no overlap during busy times. (8am=people waking up and rush hour; 4pm= people getting off work, rush hours; Midnight=alcohol just kicking in.)

Wow. You're dumb. It's as simple as changing the law for consolidated local government. Uhh, we are the only consolidated local government in the state. Wouldn't change anything statewide. Read and learn. It's not that hard hero.

@Dave Mutchler I understand you bend over for metro since they gave you the nice full time position and made you a bunch of BS promises but it's very clear that you don't give a damm about the troops.

Then again, thats expected because you got what you wanted already, right? Why not at least humor the officers with something like "Hey guys, I know it sucks but I'm working on a solution." Well, at least your honest! You don't say squat because you ain't going to do squat.

I'm long retired, but I must say it's pretty disappoiting to see you guys not receiving the support you deserve from the FOP. Back in my day this wouldn't have flied. The FOP held multi emergency meetings with it's members where the attorneys would actually attend and we'd form a plan of action.

We did this over much smaller issues and worked things out with the dept that we both could agree on. When is the last time this FOP has shown this type of concern for anything? Different times I guess

I hate to say it but the fop really has gone down hill. right or wrong it's pretty obvious that a lot of people don't feel like they have any support. again right, wrong or indifferent that alone speaks volumes

Look guys you need to think real hard before you get out of the fop. That legal defense is worth it alone. I'm hearing a lot of officers talking about getting out but i'd hate to see one of you get in a critical incident and not have the necessary defense. good luck guys

Dave Mutchler isn't running for re-election because of the backlash from all this. I understand that completely, he did really drop the ball. Anyone know who is running for president?
