You are an exception in this horrible situation. You care about your children. Most others don't. Herein lies the problem....the children know they're not cared about, and also receive no guidance and discipline. So the fallout from that is they don't care about themselves either. They feel worthless and unimportant. They don't have the confidence to to something productive with their lives, so they turn to drugs and crime, which is easy for them, until they get caught...or killed. These types of parents just want the government money that more children will bring. It's a horrible cycle that I don't think will ever stop. The government is a damn good place to start, but so far, there's been no action. They're enabling this to continue. A child raised without love and praise is going to suffer in life. They won't care about themselves, and they sure as he!! won't care about anyone else. That's where the danger comes in. They don't give a second thought to shooting somebody. The government is the problem. They give money to perfectly able bodied people that should be working. When they work, they feel confident. They also know how expensive children are and will not continue to have more if they can't afford them. The way it is now, the more kids they have, the more money the government gives them. The kids lose. It's a mess, and it's going to take someone in the White House with brains and balls to turn things around. And it will take a very long time to make a change, but it could happen. Money and power are bad elements in this country. Morals and simply doing the right thing is what we need more of. It starts the moment a baby is born. The choices the parents make are key to that child's future. The poster I'm responding to is doing her job as a responsible, caring parent....and the world thanks you.
