RE: LMPD brings in leadership and diversity expert
Quit bellyaching and deal with it. I have done that too. I give you credit for working hard. Just deal with court. It is part of your job and I doubt that happens very often.

To those who say shut up and go. Just deal with it etc. Where are the considerations for sleep deprivation? Policy says no more than 24 hours a week off duty but where is the maximum hours for court? Remember, you have to get up, get ready( in military jargon), sht, shower and shave. Drive and find a spot to park. Yes there are options for parking but 30minutes to shower and shave get dresed, 20 to 30 minutes to drive there(assuming you don't roll up on something and have to wait for day work, yes I worked day work)10 minutes to walk and sign in, then hang around to be released and subject to call back.repeat in reverse order to go home and SLEEP FOR THE SECOND TIME IN A DAY and you see why people don't show up for court or late. The problem with court is the Officer is held accountable and no one else is. PD agrees to pass date and time but shows hour late judge says well you r busy. Case set for pretrial conference 4 times, not police fault, but we get the blame. Bottom line, until attorneys are held to the standard that they claim police should be held to nothing will get done. IE. YOU SCHEDULE A PRE TRIAL CONFERENCE, DON'T SHOW UP DEMANDING A TRIAL. WAIT THAT WOULD REQUIRE JUDGES TO BE ON THEIR TOES OR TELL DEFENSE ATTORNEYS NO MORE SHENNANIGANS, AFTER THAT THEN YOU CAN GO AFTER POLICE FOR NOT SHOEING UP FOR COURT.I know I am just pipe dreaming
