RE: City gets $11 million bill for interest on Louisville firefighter...
Demotions from non-merit positions are not technically demotions, just return to MERIT rank (i.e. rank earned under the merit systems NOT political appointment
Removal of positions through attrition is NOT demotion either, it just means we wont get any new bosses for a while
How 'bout them apples?
I now ask you, look at our expenditures and explain how you can find these, or greater savings with out effecting the bottom line, which is service to the citiizens of this 'burg. Consolidating command under bosses and increasing the span of control of supervisors would be a LOGICAL thought to any economist and could actually increase the number of officers on the streets IF those command positions were replaced by patrol officers AND would still save this city money.
And it would be you who is the idjit since you obviously did not, or can not read and comprehend the concept originally posted. But thanks for playin'!
I guess you must be one of those sergeants of lieutenants who actually don't have to supervised anybody (meaning your an admin weanie)
