Merit board reduces suspension of officer who ticketed 7-year-old

Officer inattention, disrespect, and rudeness at roll call is the SERGEANT'S problem, let him/her handle it. No…..wait…….we don't let sergeants do their job……let the lieutenant handle it for the sergeant; surely the lieutenant can square this away. Oh…..wait…….we don't let lieutenants do their job or make decisions………..call the major……surely the buck stops with the major! Never mind…….we don't let major's control their division even though we pay them $95,000 a year……..call the colonel. The colonel will handle it! What? The colonel was a sergeant last year? Now I'm confused.
