Ha. Even though I do think there are situations where you may not have all of the information (such as where the officers are going and why at that particular speed), I still appreciate the sarcasm. I agree that many of us officers (myself included) drive faster than we should. I still believe that a previous poster had a point. Many people have no understanding of where we are going, and that there may be instances that we need to drive very quickly to a run, or to back up another officer. I doubt that you are interested in being hugged by an officers, but I do think you are lumping all of us together. I guess that is only natural to do, but making a public display of things like officers speeding only serves to cause more and more punishments and regulations for the officers that have a legitimate reason to be driving faster than you may deem necessary. Something to keep in mind, not all runs that actually are emergent in nature come out on the radio as such. For instance a recent homicide run came out on the radio as some individuals that had been assaulted (almost like someone wanting a report). Because of the way it was dispatched, officers that were sent on this run did not have the ability to drive to the run code 3. It wasn't until they received another call minutes later that there was actually an unconscious person, which allowed them to go lights and sirens. The man bled to death, possibly as a result.

Moral of the story:

Yes many of us drive to fast, but sometimes, just sometimes it's for another reason you are not aware of. As much as it sucks that an officers "drove over you", imagine how bad it would suck if you or a family member bled out, or or child or wife was sexually assaulted because officers couldn't drive fast enough to a call for fear of punishment. It is a slippery slope.

Thats right. That is why I post here. To get the cops in trouble and try to make them miserable.

It is not fair they can write me a ticket and they can speed just because somebody needs help?, that is not a legit excuse, anybody can say that.

Right on brother. I hate the police too!! anything to cause them trouble, they deserve it.

I will take a pic of a couple police cars too, they are bound to nail one of them. All i have to do is say they were speeding.

Oh I did the spending time somment, sorry. I do that to make them look bad too.
