You have done it more than once. You make an inflammatory statement hoping to get a lot a threads agreeing with you. Then, it backfires in your face and you feel cornered. Your next instinct is to say you were only being sarcastic. Come on, I give you credit on your ability to write above average (punctuation, grammar, new paragraphs, etc.), but trust me, there are people out here who are just as witty as you and know sarcasm when they see it.

I agree with your statement and have only this to add, moleey mole, mole, mole, mole, mole. mmmmm mole!

(that's not refering to a person but the giant mole on a persons face)

The Colts game was fun and I heard that the Mayor was there! AWESOME! Thanks to the Foundation for a great night out!

"Except that he quickly addressed the car issue, the fire fighter issue, the MSD issue, the Metro Animal Services issue, the Iron Quarter issue"

While I will grant you the cars and the F/F contractual back pay settlement (which was ordered by the court by the way so he really had no choice, but I will let you spin how you want to) he has actually been extremely slow in addressing these issues. MSD was only handled after the auditors report was to become public and after both the Ville Voice and the Lexington Herald started to run with it. MAS is a mess, the window dressing he hired to fix that mess is failing him miserable thus far (he has got to stop listening to Sadiqa Reynolds), the Iron Quarter issue actually left the preservationist at the table and made money for his boy Todd Blue.

I am not saying I expect him to be perfect, I am saying I want him to open, transparent and ready to deal with everyone. Especially the FOP, since I am a member (yes that is a bias on my part). Will he make everyone happy? No and I don't expect that he will. I am just hoping he actually starts to make the changes he promised and has had a year to do.

By the way, applying window dressing and band-aids are not addressing issues, unless you want to believe the Curious Urinal and his spokes puppet Chris Poynter.
