RE: Sixteen apply for Louisville police chief's post
Geez...you'll be talking about him ten years from now, won't you? He has left the building!!

Next time you are tempted to write "any truth to the rumor..." at the beginning of your post, just backspace and carry on. That's the problem on this department. Too much gossip. Even if it's true, there's plenty that shouldn't be gossiped about. High school never ends.
And no, not a fan of former Chief White but your post just proved a huge point that we are part of the issue here. We can all do better.

Not a rumor..the chief's car
That's not just a rumor, that's a cold hard fact. My cousin's neighbor was dropping off a friend of his at the airport and saw it with his own eyes. Not only that, but he left it parked at the curb with the flashers on. Allegedly, it took TSA almost 2 days to go check it out. Get this, it was overdue on oil change by 17,000 miles. As a matter of fact, it had never had an oil change. And get this, the gas card that was found in the car belonged to a 1st Division pool car. The car was extremely filthy, with dozens of half-empty Thorntons coffee cups laying on the floorboard. Not only had it never had an oil change, it had never been washed. I even heard that there was a gps in the car which had several preprogrammed routes to locations outside of Jefferson County. I know all of that is almost too incredible to believe, but my cousin's neighbor and his friend have always been reliable sources. I'm still trying to double verify the rest of what they told me, but just to give you an early scoop--there may have been several empty baggies with marijuana residue on them in the car.

RE: Sixteen apply for Louisville police chief's post
I could care less if he drove it like it was stolen all the way to Denver than gave to a tree hugging homeless gay couple. As long as the "man" is far, far away from Louisville I am happy. And as for it being OUR tax money, one car is worth the cost of getting rid of him.
