You said - "Yes, city county bull crap!, Get the chip off your shoulder."

I say - No chip here, actually I am honestly emazed by the presumption of experience the new guys at the roll call table claim to have.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++

You said - #1, it has nothing to to woth experience, never said anything about it.

I say - Yes it does. Period. With a short list of exceptions I haven't seen much from the new guys. Those exceptions are the individuals everyone know and respect rapidly. We let a huge amount of good experience retire without replacement and with out getting the new "majority" to learn from the history and experience of both the 2000 and 6000 officers.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++

You said - #2 it has everything to do with some of you bashing each other, from on this site, to the rollcall tables, to sitting next each other in a parking lot. All some of you do is put us in the middle of it, when it is nothing more than ego on your part. You do nothing but give improper influence to younger officers that are impressionable and do not know any different.

I say - Those conversations are for the grown ups in the room. And to it is like a sibling rivalry between two grown men, it is fun for those who were involved. You miss the point of most of it though. After all the BEST practices of both agenices were abandoned, only to be "reborn" when the proverbial ****** hits the fan.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++

You said - I have seen, know some personally, younger officers with less than 1yr on that has no respect of his peers because of this. They do not even have enough experience to know any better.

I say - I agree, and I have recommended multiple "young guys" not be hired or retained because of their glaring incompetence. As have other PTO/FTOs only to have the 'head desk' say no we will let their incompetent butts stay.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++

You said - #3, Just because someone has "only been on 5 minutes" does not mean they were Born 5 minutes ago. And your ego compels you to treat someone as such. Your experience as an officer for 10 yrs does not mean you have 10 yrs experience outside of policing.

I say - Actually I am looking at 18 as an officer and 20 from Uncle Sam (for you math genius's that would be 38 years combined experiences)... However I will give you the point that some of our 7000 code numbered officer brought some decent experiences with them, however the majority did not.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++

You said - I am only thankful not all officers have this mentality. But there are enough of you that it will be nice when the crap is over with. Don't you dare make my comment and experience issue. My post you responded never said anything about it.

I say - again, you miss the point that we as an agency FAILED when we let the experience walk/retire away without having placed the "new" breed into cars/offices with these folks to learn.

But that is the way it goes.

Oh, and I don't have an Iphone.

You never know how much experience I have, on any subject.
