Candidates voice interest in Louisville police chief job

Couldn't have said it better myself. I know a few of the guys on that list well and they earn every penny of that OT and court pay. And on top of all the grants, Traffic constantly gets paged out for hours at a time. There are a few I know that work 7 days a week frequently throughout the year. I don't resent them either (I'm sure that s*** is coming). If any other guy wants to earn money like that, put in for one of those units when theres an opening. CJ is fishing where there is nohing. It's a shame, but like you said... nature of the beast.. Same with when the divisions got given the grants but the OT could never get filled. Its almost like we're all still kids. We don't want it until another kid tries to pick up the toy.... but if its just there for us, forget it.
