yeah..then maybe we could get another Robert White. Someone who doesn't give a chit about this community and only wants a fat paycheck and adds to the resume. How about getting someone who will bring back morale and actual police work. Not just FI's to fill a database with useless information. Going outside the Department was already one major failure...why do that again?

You metro guys, think you know everything. Get rid of the former city and county old guys and things will be better. Young officer, I spend the majority of my shift keeping you youngsters from stepping on your *****. This is not coming from a die hard city or county guy, that stuff has been played out. Listen to the guys that have been there before you. You may learn something that they didn't teach in your basket weaving college courses.

You are kidding right. These former JCPD and LPD officers are the one thing keeping these metro officers out of trouble. You metro officers know jack about real police work. How to patrol a beat with integrity and keep the problems from happening. The older officers were trained that they took care of their beat, NEVER let anyone come on your beat and take a report or solve a problem that you should take care of, NEVER. Never poach on the beat of someone else, take care of your own. You rookies only think of the stats and how to make yourselves look good. No integrity for patrol work what-so-ever.

Oh and by the way it is not 70% is Metro, it is only about 62% according to out Major. You might not think that is a big difference but think of it this way. Over 60% of the department has 8 years or LESS on the job. This place is loosing good experienced officers faster and faster and it will be left in the hands of inexperience young pups like yourself who will not know where to turn when things really get bad. Remember those who you are bad mouthing about being from LPD or JCPD are the ones who have been there and done that more times then you can think about. And YES, I am a LPD officer who is happy to be working with my JCPD partners.

You are simply wrong. The LMPD is not made up of 70% "Metro" officers. At in-service only one year ago we were told that only 465 officers were "Metro" hires. That's about 40%. Unless we have hired over 300 officers in the last year or year and a half, you need to look at your math.
