I Love Louisville but I am so frustrated that nearly ALLLLLLLL of the largest 30 depts in this country make in 1-3 years what a 20-24 year officer in Louisville makes. OUR PAY IS EMBARRASSING!!!!!!

10 year Officers in dept are size are make anywhere from 65-75 grand.. 20 year Louisville officer is at 55 grand...

Before people post.....These are base pays and many of the depts have great benefits, including better retirement, college pay, spanish speaking pay and most have take home cars.

Yes, city county bull crap!

Get the chip off your shoulder. #1, it has nothing to to woth experience, never said anything about it.

#2 it has everything to do with some of you bashing each other, from on this site, to the rollcall tables, to sitting next each other in a parking lot. All some of you do is put us in the middle of it, when it is nothing more than ego on your part. You do nothing but give improper influence to younger officers that are impressionable and do not know any different. I have seen, know some personally, younger officers with less than 1yr on that has no respect of his peers because of this. They do not even have enough experience to know any better.

#3, Just because someone has "only been on 5 minutes" does not mean they were Born 5 minutes ago. And your ego compels you to treat someone as such. Your experience as an officer for 10 yrs does not mean you have 10 yrs experience outside of policing.

I am only thankful not all officers have this mentality. But there are enough of you that it will be nice when the crap is over with.

Don't you dare make my comment and experience issue. My post you responded never said anything about it.

Oh, and I don't have an Iphone.

You never know how much experience I have, on any subject.
