it's relative isn't it? People in certain professions, like military, police or doctors, can often draw a distinct line between personal and professional. So while they may be dishonest outside of work (in whatever capacity), it doesn't effect their professional abilities or "integrity". Other people have no integrity period and it spills over into how they behave everywhere, including their job (like pedophiles in positions of authority, for example). Unfortunately, there's no real yes or no to your ? because it's gonna depend on the individual. I've known some real a##holes that were solid policemen. And I've met plenty philandering doctors that I'd still want operating on me. I think people unfairly hold those in certain professions to a higher standard. We're all human. People lie, cheat, whatever. Every day in every profession. That's the human condition.
