Career of Robert White, next Denver police chief, marked by controversy

I hope our Mayor opens his eyes. He is a smart man, and he know's we dont need Four Lieutenant Colonels, along with all these Lieutenants. We have Lieutenants doing Sergeants jobs. Carolyn Nunn when she was a Sergeant got promoted to Lieutenant and still done the same job as a Sergeant that she was doing. But she got her pay bumped up from 50's to 70's. And still done the same job as a Sergeant. Now talk about wasting money. Cut those Lt. Col spots and Lieutenants.

And let's get back to civil service captains instead of politically appointed majors.

Im glad this waste of flesh is gone. He never interacted with the troops. We never saw him. Did anyone get an email from our LEADER saying so long? good bye? it's been fun? Thanks for letting me draw on your kentucky retirement system? What does that tell you.... He never gave a crap about the officers. I have never heard of anyone leaving and not saying goodbye to the troops. Although i'm glad he's gone. But that just reminded me of his arrogance. And I agree get rid of some of the Lieutenant spots, along with Gibson and Buckner... but them back down to Lieutenant and they wouldnt stay long as many people as they have screwed over here lately. You never get to high in rank boys that you cant be brought down.

I agree with the Civil Service Captains, that is security there. These appointed major positions are a joke. The good ole boy system. The FOP needs to take a stand on that. Get rid of Buckner and Gibson. Hopefully he will take them to Denver. They wont stay here if they get busted back down to Lieutenant. I would love to see that. And yes they sure have screwed officer's over in their high ranking titles. They forgot where they came from. And they both are not qualified to even be in that position.

I say clean out the whole front office and some of the majors as well. Gentry, Buckner, Gibson and others need to go as they only screw others over and are in it for themselves. Compstat is a joke under them. If you are one of their chosen ones you don't get held to the fire but others get grilled and demeaned in front of yg and buckner. Nothing but power hungry jokes. white says the new chief should come from within and he has already told the major who that should be although he would not say who it is. Now lets take a guess, gentry is his girl as everyone knows. He should just come out and say it. All of them can just bite the big one and leave

We are screwed again if Mayor Fischer chooses one of the top ranking Colonels. Nothing will change, they have been under Robert White and will run this dept as he did cause that is all they know. I agree that Gibson and Buckner need to go. White made up those two positions for them, get rid of those positions and start saving some money.
