Bearden family sues city, police officer

Driving Drunk i'm sure was a contriburing factor to the collision, but that does not mean she is at fault. Being at fault is on both parts, The officer driving at excessive speed, along with the the female who turned in front of the officers right of way. This is yet another tragic event which could happen to any one of us daily. The family taking legal action against the city is no different than any one of us doing if it happened to one of our family members. So think before you write, put yourself in this family shoes. Although, i do know the burdon lies on mom, dad, and the rest who were out drinking with her, they should have took responsiability and not let their daughter drive while drinking. Everyone sues now days, this event should make us all aware to be careful and a learning experience. Very tragic for all involved, the family of the deceased along with the officer having to deal with his name being smeared as a black eye on the dept for driving excessive speed, and living with the fact someone died.
