Bearden family sues city, police officer

If you feel that hard working tax payers should give 2 people tax dollars after they let their daughter drink and drive, then you sir are an idiot. Also, nothing is stopping you from taking your hard earned cash over to the familys house and giving it to the parents. Hopefully if they do win some money they wont buy any other children or young adults cars, watch as they drink alcohol, then stand-by and do nothing as they drive away drunk. All they had to do was take her home or call her a cab, or ask a sober person at the party to take her home. But they didnt,they did nothing and now shes gone forever.

She was breaking the law & her car belonged to her parents.

His suspension is meaningless as to right and wrong. He was given those days so the chief and the department could save face. Falling on his sword so to speak. Its unfotunate Ms. Bearden lost her life but it revolved around decisions she made. Now the family is callously trying to cash in with the city's deep pockets.
