The only thing I agree with is we should not be responding to 2 officer calls with one officer. We have been very lucky in Louisville on Officer assaults and Officer murders.

There is no reason to stack yourself on runs either. I agree that officers making runs on your beat is not "accepted practice"....but really that is an old school way of thinking back when the city and county were nowhere near as urban as it is in 2010....There are not all the pastures anymore. If runs back up and 50 are holding, which is what would happen if were were not making two officers runs with one officer and stacking up making runs, then this department would be forced to make schedule changes or HIRE the appropriate amount of officers..LMPD needs a minimum of 500 more officer...
