If the police lay down and criminals start feeling more bold, the likely result is lots of self-defense shootings in the east end and south end, and high crime in the liberal anti-gun areas like the Highlands. All it takes is a few well publicized killings to set people on edge. You don't want that to happen in Louisville if you're not fond of Old West movies.
