No sir. You are referring to the study of social opinions.

The result you refer to (bad seeds) are the result of influence, albiet social, economic, etc.

Yes you are correct, books are written for a reason, but they are of an opinion.

Yes family life is Very important to society. But what is your definition of family. Mine involved 4 siblings, 23 cousins, 16 anunt and uncles, grand parents. and of course parents. We all lived near one another and were very close. Is my family foundation better than one of just parents? I think not.

Food for thought. What about the punk that you just cought breaking into cars on Bardstown Rd. And when you learn more about this thug you find he lives in Lake Forest, nice $500,000 home, etc, etc,. Dad has a $100,000 yrs job. mom stays home, etc, etc. and the officer that arrested was raised by his MOM.

Books are books, it is Your responsibility to understand where the knowledge falls into place.

You see sir, you are the same as one that reads the CJ and takes it for fact.

It takes more than simply reading a book.

I will not "synchronize" for your intertainment. You seem to only take in what is put infront of you. I will not waste my time.

You were given this response merely for the broad, blanket, and ignorant opinion you made of others.

Young men who grow up in homes without fathers are twice as likely to end up in jail as those who come from traditional two-parent families.Cynthia Harper of the University of Pennsylvania and Sara S. McLanahan of Princeton University tracked a sample of 6,000 males aged 14-22 from 1979-93. They found that those boys whose fathers were absent from the household had double the odds of being incarcerated - even when other factors such as race, income, parent education and urban residence were held constant.

No one is saying all criminals come from single parent homes or that kids from 2-parent homes can't turn out bad, but it is more likely, especially when an entire neighborhood has relatively few 2-parent homes like in low-income housing areas. Combine a lack of parental guidance with poverty, hopelessness and a perception that the only way to get rich is to do crime, then you've got big problems. Many kids will do the right things even in that environment, but many won't.
