Hell, there are police officers that work off duty and try to get out of doing things that pertain directly to their off duty detail. It's not a "Guard" thing, it's a poor work ethic issue at best. As for the training, I was personally involved in training corrections recruits for several years and there were just somethings that were cut short due to the length of the academy, but the foundation of officer safety was always stressed and in some cases that means a call to the police is the best
