Those desk jockeys are called "HOUSE CATS". They are afraid to get too far from the litter box.

Most bad guys have figured out that police call in their license plates. In all likelihood they're going to shoot you from a stolen car or have a stolen license plate. Calling in the make and model will help some, but having a second officer there will help more. The bad guys don't always shoot once and drive away. LPD used to have 2-officer patrol cars until we got a Mayor who wanted to cut the number of officers down and offered the carrot of free off-duty gas to convince the department to go along. Louisville isn't a big city but this incident is a reminder that policing is dangerous even in small towns. If bullets hit your vest, you can credit the vest, God and maybe just blind luck that the bad guy didn't shoot you somewhere else or take the time to finish you off. Having a second officer would make everyone a lot safer, but some people think free gas or keeping the number of officers low is more important than safety.
