What about the FBI, DEA, ATF... Those are "your" cars also, and they take their cars home (no personal use though)... Do THEY stop for you? Or are just whining a little bit to much?

KVE, yes, they stop a lot. JCSO, occasionally, but they don't have many with take home cars. KSP are rarely on Metro Louisville roadways. I rarely need help, but I pay attention to such things.

Again, LMPD officers just do not stop, as a rule. And that is exactly why LMPD has gotten little groundswell of support for the takehome issue, few people recognize any benefit to the takehome cars, unless they live in a nice neighborhood with an officer-neighbor. I realize no one likes criticism, but LMPD's failure to accept and address criticism, even that which officers feel is somehow unfair, is exactly why the agency is losing support among the citizens, which is precisely where the officers should be working to GET support. You guys seriously need PR, and "whining" doesn't serve as good PR.
