And how exactly could it "clearly" have been dealt with without the deadly weapon? Really. I want to know. Were you there? Did you see how the suspect was behaving? How big was he? What was his history? Did you see the hammer? Do you know how dark it was? Or what the weather was like? Were there innocent bystanders to protect as well as the officers protecting themselves? Were the officers out of breath from any kind of foot pursuit? You should have all these answers right? Since you know what was "CLEAR" and I didn't get any of that based off what I saw on the news. But hey, you must be a mindreader to be finding all this "clear" fact through the muddy reporting.

And beyond that, should the officers not have brought the taser either? Because they tried to use that first and it didn't stop the guy with the hammer. So what would YOU have done, oh brilliant one. What's your Monday morning quarterback idea of how YOU could have done it better? How would YOU behave in a life threatening situation with 2-5 seconds to decide? I'm not a cop. I'm a citizen. And again I'll say, if someone charged at me with a hammer and the taser didn't work, I'd shoot them. Honestly, I wouldn't even bother with the taser like these cops did because I've seen how people hyped on drugs don't respond at all to tasers.
