One of my Training phases was in the East End and I learned more from my PTO there than the phase I had Downtown.

We all KNOW nothing happens in the 8th Division. That is where everyone goes to retire.

I wasn't trying to say ALL east end cops (maybe I phrased it wrong saying "the ones in the east end"), and I'm well aware there are lazy cops that hide in every division. But I used to live further east than I do now and there was a particular Thorntons that had 3 or more cops there at a time, for extremely extended periods of time (yes, I am talking HOURS).. I'm not definitely not the trucker and don't think like him regarding your department, but those cops make the rest of you look bad. If you don't like me saying that, sorry, but take it up with them.

But ya know, in regards to you lumping me in with the trucker who attacks you guys on a regular basis here, it's a little unreasonable. You want people to be on your side, but you get defensive about every little thing people say that isn't cop-worshipping. Did my post not acknowledge the cops that work their a$$es off? I appreciate those guys and what they do for this city, but if you think LMPD doesn't have lazy employees just like every other company in the country does, you are living in fantasyland. It's the nature of the job environment. There are good workers, mediocre workers, and bad workers, and unfortunately, some of the lazy/bad ones don't get weeded as quickly as need be and they make the really good workers look bad. You want to get mad and preach to the trucker about how "there are bad apples" and "you can't judge all cops by one bad one" but you just did the exact thing to me because I dared say not all cops are efficient heroes and some of them stop at gas stations to d*** around? So are there bad apples or not? Seems to me you want to be able to say there are bad apples but you don't want to hear it from anyone else. Nice double standard.

Regardless of everything you said, I still support to hardworking emergency services personnel in this city. I even respect the ones that occasionally just need to hide for a night and take an extended break. They deserve it! But there are people you work with that behave in a way that makes people generalize and have a negative opinion about police. You may not like it, but it's reality. And you should be ticked off at the unfairness of their actions effecting your reputation rather than my post.
