Thats not a fair statement for those guys. (sounds like the trucker mentality) there are some that are lazy and do nothing, but not all. And to group all of the officers work ethic in the east end would be like grouping all of ther officers work ethic together in the west end. There are officers that hide in every division. I have a friend that works there and he is as good an officer that you will see anywhere. Just because he works in the east end does not make him lazy, that is just where he is at right now.

OK, I mis quoted you. "I understand that this is an isolated part of town" , or "the ones in the east end", What did you mean by that?

The comment was warranted

On behalf of the 8th Division, I apologiz that we may have some slugs who prefer to not police their division.

The lazy people to hard worker ratio varies across divisions. It's higher in the plainclothes units, some of which have become a place you send problem people to make them less visible or less likely to hurt someone. The cream of the crop won't stick around for $40-$50 grand a year putting up with the kind of petty bulls-it that goes on.

Has anyone heard about the traffic stop 8th Division officers made Derby Day. Seems things go on there poeple do not realize. I'll bet that has not happened in other divisions.

While we are at it. Last night while I was working off duty. There was an traffic accident in the 8th up on I71 several of them called off for blocking traffic. Then I heard several "shooing" and clicking thier mikes afterwards. Do any of you realize what kind of area they are dealing with there. That place is more dangerous than Spagetti Junction at night. And it takes several cars to make it safe there. It was very embarrassing to hear that and for the 8th Division officers involved I'm sorry you guys are subjected to that, I had no idea it was that bad.

And yes I heard about that seizure. Good job L.R.
