There you go again, speaking your opinion without accounting for circumstances that HAVE to be considered even if you realize it or not.

You see, you repeatedly comment on events you do not know of entirely, yet you feel you know the facts. And your resulting attitude negates and form of debate with you on the subject. How about discovering all the facts before attempting one.

The intent of a debate , at least one of them, is to identify the facts to prove your point.

A debate with you is like a discussion with a 2 year old child that will not take into account of all the facts that are not known to them.

"Why people are chased or not is immaterial to the fact that it was over his punching an off duty cop. Are you REALLy going to try to tell me that there hasnt been a single other security guard assaulted by a shoplifter? "

Ok, I will spell this out for you ONCE.

Yes, ther are security guards assaulted during shoplifting every day. 99.99999% of the time the criminal get away or the guard wins.

Now the thing to remember, Every situation involving these events are set in motion by the criminal. They decide to steal, if they get caught they may decide to run, if they can't they may decide to fight.

My point is, that person that you are referring to was the deciding factor to everything that happened that day. All the police can do is react. If he did not decide to steal?, dead issue. If he had decided not to fight?, would have only been shoplifting. If he had decided not to flee?, It would not have left the parking lot, hence no chase. If he had decided to simply stop trying to drive toward those officers?, they would not have been put into the position that unfolded.

If someone entered your home in the middle of the night and threatened your family, and you had to defend them and yourself against and armed intruder ( and I hope you would) how would you feel about someone questioning your actions? Would you take partial responsibility or would you feel that the intruder put himself it that position?
