Same old failed argument. Discretionis not the same as immunity. When you pull a car over, you have discretion, when that person is a cop, discretion takes a back seat to immunity.

Uhhh, no, we don't - when it comes to traffic laws. If you don't have your lights and siren activated, you are NOT an emergency vehicle and don't get the exemptions that status entails. And yes, I'm a cop, and I cringe when I see a marked car flying low and fast and silent to a run, because I've known cops who have had their careers end just as fast because they did that, and killed some innocent citizen who did not see them coming. Turn on the blasted lights and siren. (If you are going to a silent call, then SLOW DOWN, trust me, it isn't worth it.)
