Firstly, I am not chiding you for being concerned over the welfare of the officer, I too am happy she is doing as well as she is, but it leads me to ask a couple of questions.

1 Do you know her personally enough to be concerned for her as a friend?

2 If not, then why does the fact that she is a police officer merit the intent and action required to post a question about her?

3 Have you tried to get any information on the children who were critically injured in the car accident a couple of days ago? if not, why not, and if so, who did you contact about them?

See, the problem lies not in the action but the motivation for the action. When John Travoltas son died, people drove for hours and hours just to lay flowers and cards at the gates of their private community, and I would ask those same people what they have done for the sick and dying children in their own hometowns. Why would the fact that it was a celebrities kid make the concern over a death any more valid? I would really love to understand the motivation behind the action rather than argue about it, because to me, a childs life is a childs life, and a billionaire celebrities kid is not any more worthy of tribute than some single waitress whos child died of cancer, or was the victim of a crime, or even an accident, in which they lost their life. I hope I made the point I was trying to without being condescending, and if i didnt, then i apologize in advance.
