No it is not.You dont understand the big picture here. The mayor wins this battle he will not stop when he decides he does not want to do something he is supposed to do. He will continue to roll over the police whenever he feels like it and in the long run you WILL pay more in every area. Officers not sticking together just shows him you all are weak and will take whatever he dishes out, be it right or wrong. Sooner or later you will have to take a stand and fight wether you want to or not. If you dont then you agree to let somebody bend you over whenever they get the urge. Police deserve better than that.

Heres is what you dont seem to understand. The police of 30-40 years ago had to fight very hard just to get the right for a policeman to be paid OVERTIME. They had to fight for the right for policemen to be professionally TRAINED, for the right to have rights to PROTECT them from unfair work environments, and a lot of other stuff that guys take advantage of today. Those old cops fought for the benefits police enjoy today. The reason the cars were never brought into the contract was because nobody ever thought that the city would stoop that low, a thing agreed upon behind closed doors. But, thats what happens when you trust the devil. This car thing is just the beginning with jerry. He will slowly start ,well he already has, chipping away at anything of value the police have. What you police do now, just as the police of years gone by did, will dictate what kind of environment the officers of the future work in. This job will be as good as you,not the mayor, decide to make it.
