Contempt of Court

Well, I know this should go without saying, but people should not go at them saying how : instert one (idiotic, shallow, showboating, etc) they are about considering going. They are being recognized, they did not do anything wrong.

Also I recieved a medal when I was fairly new to the Dept. and was told that it was frowned upon NOT to go. With the climate we have now that is a scary proposition to be in espically when we have commanders (Majors and Lts)more than willing to carry out the chief's heavy hand. It can be intimidating for people.

I guess what I'm trying to say, does anyone have any ideas to influence them in a positive way.
