Hey...I go to plays! I am not a liberal puke! :) I cannot afford higher prices~

For the record, "grunt",

1, I love the arts (orchestra, ballet, concerts, plays, etc)

2, I am NOT a liberal, nor have I ever been. (I didn't vote for Obama and I've never voted for Jerry)

3, I cannot afford higher ticket prices, just as many of my friends can't (esp. in today's economy). We aren't elitist snobs that hemorrhage money and it'd be nice that you didn't assume we are.

4, stop making this about people you clearly know nothing about. Ignorance clearly begets ignorance. Why don't you take your hostility out on the proper source?

I have supported the police, FOP, firefighters, corrections, and others being screwed by this Mayor. I've given money to my church, and to Supporting Heroes, because they are things I believe in! Don't make the mistake of putting all fans of art into one "liberal puke" category, just as disgusting people have put all cops in one bad category! I don't go around saying "most cops are whiners" or "most cops are a--holes" or "most cops can afford the raised fees on the cars" so don't throw your nasty comments in the direction of people like me-- people who support the arts, support the police, AND support their church and charity by giving money or time to ALL of the above. It is possible, you know.

Thanks for reminding me why it's so hard for people I try to convince to be on your side. You, my friend, are the elitist puke, that thinks people who enjoy art every now and again think they are better than you, when in reality, you find yourself to be the truly superior being.

I'll still support the police and preach against the Mayor to anyone who will listen, but I am saddened that the group of brave officers I support includes someone naive and ignorant like you.

Grunt your ignorance reflects poorly on the rest of us. Maybe you should go see a form of art, outside of the movie theater (just because it's a dollar for you doesn't mean the avg. person doesn't pay "higher ticket prices"). Most people that enjoy the arts are highly educated, well rounded, free thinkers. Try it you might like it.
