See, there is another blatant example of your problems. You want to dispute fact with making up rumors. Actually, no, thee was no problem with the first one, see, maybe you just dont understand the term "random". Each month , trucking companies are required to randomly select drivers for drug screens. Drug screens are pass or fail, no exceptions. Ive been subject to drug tests since I was in the military back in 1987.

Are many truckers forced to drive when tired, absolutely. I had a company that when i refused to drive 20-21 hours a day, punished me, so I quit. They ended up in trouble with the DOT, and i was happy to be one of the peopel who reported them.

Do you REALLY think that truckers are out there killing themselves and driving long hours because its just so much fun? See. I dont agree with the way it works, but with the system switching over to JIT shipments, this country operates on rolling warehouses. They dont get products shipped just because, so they will have them when needed, they ship them so they arrive Just In Time. Then they save millions in inventory taxes. Ask the folks atthe Ford plants how this works. As for the ones tailgating you, I apologize on their behalf, assuming it is as straight forward as you say it is. I called in on a truck the other day because there was simply no reason for him to be as close to the car as he was.

The truth is, in accidents involving trucks and cars, the automobiles are at fault 75% of the time.
