As to your complaint about alarm systems, being different than home monitoring systems, i dispute your claims that they are ineffective, because there are more and more companies all the time providing the service. If they didnt work, then they wouldnt be in business.

As to your "force multiplier" argument, what message do you think gets sent when people see cops everyday ignoring blatant offenses right in front of them because they have something they would rather be doing?
