Sure, I guess, but I mean, is it really a new idea that government might be lying to citizens about something? This happens on the city, state, and national level on a regular basis. It's certainly not exclusive to Louisville in any way. I don't see the point in getting all up in arms about something that has been going on for centuries and will continue well past our lives. It may not be right, but it's our reality. And it's not exclusive to just crime either. There are medical "cover-ups" and deceit, military ones, educational ones, insurance ones... and the list of BS goes on and on. I think it's up to each individual to stay informed about the world, and that includes knowing which source to go to for legitimate information. If I want to know the truth about crime in Louisville, I hold myself responsible for knowing NOT to go to the mayor for that info.
