Two men killed in separate incidents overnight

Does anyone know what the total number of murders are this year? They never post it on the news or in the paper and the department always fudges the figures.

I guess all the officers won't have any time to fight and solve crime anymore. They are to busy trying to get their paperwork in a computer system (ILEADS) that should be shut down.

Yes this is the Mayor's "Possibility City".....which translates to "There is a great possiblity of being assaulted, robbed or killed in this city". They don't have money to hire all the officers they need to combate crime but can buy the property needed for "City Block" and give it to the Cortish group. I am so happy to see the mayor keep things in priority.

Add 2 more to that total. There was a double murder last nught in Sheppard Square.

WHAS stated LMPD gave them the numbers of 31 and 32. WHAS stated LMPD is not counting Justifiable homicides in their count for the media! WELL THAT SURE IS NICE OF LMPD NOT TO COUNT ALL HOMICIDES

As a citizens I would love to know ALL murders. It's important to know if your neightbor had to murder someone to protect them self from CRIMINALS trying to rob, hurt, or kill them!

Jerry, Jerry, can't you see, I also live in this city. No, its not in the east end, I don't live next to all your friends. Police protection is a disgrace, hire the men to keep us sake. Our curbs downtown seem fine to me, just ask the starving kids I see. Homeless folks are all abound, you just dont go where they are found. John Flood Jr., husband of Councilwoman Madonna Flood, is employed at Inspections, Permits and Licenses as the Chief Code Enforcement Officer for Metro Louisville. Mayor Jerry put a man with NINE FELONY CONVICTIONS in charge of all Zoning, Property Maintenance and Section 8 programs for Louisville as a political patronage job. Currently he has over 800 people in court on criminal charges including an 80 year old man!

Proof that felons never change he was arrested by LMPD in June (case 08-M-018507) to one count of false swearing by members of the LMPD Public Integrity Unit. He goes to court September 30th.

Indicted and convicted in 1996 (under case 96CR002531) for a toal of 29 counts... 15 counts TBUT under, 1 count False Swearing, 13 counts CPFI 2nd. Plead guilty and was sentenced to probation (18 months for a period of 5 years) by Judge Shake.

The media has kept this hushed up, the Metro Council is just learning about it and want to know more. Can anybody provide some more information? What did he lie about this time? Anyone else implicated like Bill Schreck? Any other charges expected to be brought?

They do not count any justifiable homicides. Another thing is the case that was solved from the lady that dissapeared from Shelbyville last year. Her body was found in the park in behind Ten Pen Lanes, and we solved the case. It was determined that it happen at the red carpet inn off of Hurstborne so it was on J-town. They put this one on J-town and did not count it in the numbers. They constantly manipulate numbers and this one is an example of many others thay did not count last year or this year.
