Two men killed in separate incidents overnight

Please now, I-leads isn't that bad of a thing. I'll admit, I sat through that week of in-service banging my head on the keyboard and thinking about shooting myself in the head. It was a awful class and a hard system to learn.

Once I spent a few weeks using the system and I beat the learning curve, I got to the point that I could do reports much faster on my MDT. I could print the report directly to the printer sitting next to my desk clerk, and if I called her, she would place it in the in-box for me. I could also print stolen vehicles directly to NCIC, and call them as well. All of this I can do while still on the scene.

If you want to ******** off the command staff, report everything...I mean EVERYTHING. If someone gets a harassing phone call, report it. If someone gets a scratch on their car, report it. Report, report, report....until the crime rate looks worse than downtown L.A.

Especially now that it takes a couple of hours (ILEADS) to do a simple misdemeanor report. They wanted a 'paperless department', but yet they still have us printing out paper copies of these stupid ILEADS reports. I just love the ingenuity behind it all.
