Mayor Abramson where is my raise?

Downard didn't know about it, neither did any of the other council members. They did their part and approved the contract. I guess like us they just assumed that as in the past the numbers would be crunched and then we would have received our raises.

The issue with the firefighters back pay is totally seperate. That issue has been going on since 1996 and has been contested in court. (The firefighters won) This is a seperate issue and the better question would have been to ask if any of the other bargaining units received their raises after settling their contracts.

You might be surprised what the media would be interested in. Why don't you call one of them and find out instead of assuming they won't be interested?

I have no trouble at all believing it - it isn't is daily responsibility to watch the city finances - see the checkbook, as it were. That is an executive branch responsibility. But now that it HAS been brought to his attention, it IS his job to do something about it.

How many of you had a Downard sign in your front yard at the last election? I did. Not actively supporting Downard was supporting Abramson - by default.
