We need to start asking where are our retro checks and pay raise that the Mayor negotiated and agreed to?? He sure can start a fuel reimbursement program in a matter of days but is refusing to honor our contract. What a real sh*thead he is!!!

How about a discussion on the $30 that everyone has to pay to take a car home? Is this really going to happen and why did I hear about it first on the news? From what was said we will pay $30 a month for the privilege of driving the cars to and from work and if we drive anywhere else we have to pay $60.

I SUGGEST ALL OFFICERS PUT IN FOR OVERTIME FOR EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING THEY DO THAT WOULD BE CONSIDERED A POLICE ACTION WHEN OFF DUTY. ON YOUR WAY TO WORK AND ON YOUR WAY HOME MAKE A TRAFFIC STOP AND PUT IN FOR OVERTIME. YOU DON'T HAVE TO WRITE A CITATION A WARNING WILL SUFFICE, JUST CALL OFF ON THE RADIO. STOP FOR ALL STRANDED MOTORISTS, OCCUPIED CARS OR NOT. EVEN IF SOMEONE HAS JUST LEFT THE MOTORIST CALL OFF ON IT ANYWAY JUST TO BE SURE THEY ARE STILL ALRIGHT AND IT IS THE SAME CAR AND PUT IN FOR OVERTIME. STOP AT A TRAFFIC STOP TO SEE IF THE OFFICER IS OK AND PUT IN FOR OT. ALL OF THESE DO NOT TAKE LONG BUT WILL ADD UP AND YOU WILL GET YOUR $30.00 BACK AND MORE. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE ACTION BY POLICY SO START GETTING PAD FOR IT. FOR EVERY $30 THEY TAKE FROM YOU TAKE $60 FROM THEM IN OVERTIME!!!!

Hey-- I can clarify this for you a little bit.

The news stations are reporting it wrong and they are all over the place. One station got it right in one broadcast. It's supposed to be 60 dollars for us to take our cars for off duty jobs and 30 for OTHER government employees to take their cars home. Still ridiculous, but that's what I know of it. A couple of the stations reported, though, that we had to pay 30 dollars just to take it to and from work and 60 if we wanted it for off duty jobs. The media here is a joke. Can't they get anything right?
