Placing The Blame |
RE: Placing The Blame
Dude, come on. I've worked hard riding in the west end, probably longer than you, but I've never worked hard a full 8 hours since I've been here. You'll never sell people this crap. There were some nights that we were very busy, but we managed. The holding of the runs is a thing the county police used to do because their beats were so spread out and it didn't make sense to send someone off their beat for a report or something. There has always been a shortage of police and it seems it will always be that way, but, sometimes you don't see police because some police are lazy. It's a fact that is there and cannot be disputed. My problem with the dept. is, right after Peter Grignon died, I thought all the police would grow closer and start backing each other up. The very next night after his death, someone called off on a traffic stop and guess what- crickets. Here's some advice, take it or leave it. Make one run at a time, finish that run, then move on to the next thing. Unless it's a police involved, do what you gotta do.
