White not chosen for Chicago post, will remain in Louisville

Here's a good use for this website. Every week, post the REAL number of officers working each beat. Something like:

First Division - First Shift

Beat 1 - 1 officer

Beat 2 - 1 officer

Etc.

Then include who else is working - District detectives, etc.

We have GOT to get the real numbers out for the public, and the council, to see.

Look at the ridiculous "Fly Car" concept for EMS.

Is it really a bad idea for Louisville?

I live in an area where the paramedics have Crown Vics to respond first for calls, then if they need a transport or if it's a major event they can send an ambulance. It seems more effective since it puts more medics on the streets at once and leaves ambulances free for patients that truly need transport to a hospital.

I can understand Louisville might be different. But in the northeast it actually works very well.
