Evan was already in trouble with a house arrest band on. That right there is enough said to let anyone and everyone know he was doing stuff he shouldnt have been doing. On top of that, if he had the gun, just to sale it, why would you have it loaded? I have never sold anyone a gun with bullets for free? Where did he get it? If he was selling it for money, how did he get it?

People dont deserve to die, but people who threaten other peoples lives with weapons, have made that sacrifice which usually leads to something bad happening.

On the other side of that statement, we are all taught right from wrong, and as bad as the truth is hard to see right now, as you stated above: -they were on private property (regardless of who's property where the owners live)

-a call was made to 911 for burglary

-the police did respond, to find two juveniles in the home

-they ran

-he had a loaded gun (no matter where it came from)

-he put the gun to his own head (since after all that has been said on here the media ,we can gather he probably didnt shoot himself)

-he shot the gun (which has been proven)

The three people who know what happened is Evan, the Officer the man up above. I'm sorry, but I was taught to abide by the law with the information stated, there was a lot of things that Evan did that night, that were against the Law.

I'm not an officer would never want to be, just for the simple fact of situations like this, but I will say, I have never had a gun aimed at me, let alone a shot fired at me, but if ever it happened, I dont think I would hesitate to save my own life.

I'm sorry for your loss, but...

1. Evan shouldn't have escaped from "house arrest". If he knew the police were looking for him, he should have done the right thing and turned himself in.

2. Regardless of the reason why he had a gun- he should have never pointed it at an officer. By the way, selling the gun to some scoundrel- if that's what he intended to do, isn't exactly a responsible thing to do either. That is also a crime; juveniles aren't legally permitted to sell guns. Where did he get the gun? Was it stolen?

3. Guess what... people are able to point and shoot guns while lying on the ground; it's not very difficult- it's called the prone position. So yes, Evan was still a threat to the officer even if he was on the ground, but is it also not possible that Evan could have stood up again?

4. Unfortunately, these investigations do take a while to complete. I've personally seen rudeness allegations and other minor investigations take several months to investigate, much less an officer involved shooting incident. It's just called doing a thorough and fair investigation, that's the way it should be...right?

Just some things to consider, that's all.
