I've heard several cops say that they can't wear their seat belts because they "might" have to get out in a hurry. A co-worker of mine, a retired cop of thirty years, mentioned that in all his time, he could count on one hand the number of times he wanted (not needed) to bail out fast, but he drove, and encountered stupid drivers, every day. Do the math - wear your seat belt. (And remember, come January 1, failure to do so is a primary offense, something you can pull over someone else for ....)
