I am sure that after repeated orders by Officers to pull his hands out of his pockets so they could see he wasn't holding a weapon like a gun or knife, that when he pulled his hands out and was actually holding a handgun and pointing it at the Officers standing 6 feet away, he was probably just going to show it to them so they could all compare firearms. He didn't get a chance to shoot because they anticipated he was up to no good. Hence, their reason for being there anyway. (Meth lab in the garage). To your ignorance of police procedure, no one is assigned as the designated shooter for that particular if involved in a shooting and there are more than one Officer present. Both sides of the story are evident, you just have to get past your prejudice of the POLICE.
