Great job to those brave detectives. I live only 1 street over from where this occured and am damn glad that this house will no longer plague our neighborhood.

Why is this pretty much out of the news already? Where are all the candle light vigils decrying police brutality in Okolona? Can the TARC bus not carry Mr. 2X and Mr. Coleman that far south? Amazing, isn't it. I'm glad the detectives were able to make it home safely to their loved ones.

Friday morning after the shooting there was a short innocuous article in the Courier-Journal with few details about the shooting. Saturday morning there was more detail, but then Sunday, the day the career generally recaps the week's events there was not one mention of it. Monday is passed now at his Tuesday and there is no more mention of a police shooting. Why you ask? Because the officers involved in the shooting were white and the suspect was white. One Officer Roberson who is black shot a black male it was much the same. The Courier-Journal doesn't want to print the truth, they don't want to print that sometimes officers are forced to make decisions to use deadly force, they want to fan the flames of racism by stating a white officer shot a black male otherwise to them it is not news. This is very sad. In every instance where an Officer and the use deadly force race was never an issue. If a suspect happen to be black and the Officer happen to be white they ran the story into the ground and Louis Coleman and Christopher 2X got front-page billing. Where are those Bastian's of freedom and truth now? The Courier-Journal and the aforementioned "activists" don't care one whit about truth, justice or criminal behavior. Like the Courier-Journal they are seeking the make money by proclaiming racism.

Another fact it is not been mentioned is where is Jerry Abramson throughout all of this? You would think the mayor that falsely proclaims Louisville as being one of the top 10 safest cities would be on the news congratulating the officers for keeping the community safe. Does he do that? Hell no! Jerry Abramson hates the police. He would not praise a police officer for doing anything. The facts speak for themselves. Only one in three homicides are being solved in the city. The FBI statistics prove that violent crime is on the rise in our city while declining in other major cities. The mayor, the Courier-Journal and local activists aren't interested in the truth are interested in how they can twist something so that they can gain money and political clout from it.

My thoughts and prayers are with the officers involved in this latest shooting. Thank you for protecting me and my family. These drug dealers are the scourge of our community. Without the men and women who put their lives on the line for us every day so that we may sleep safely and peacefully in our homes we would be in much worse shape. Thank you!

I heard hizzoner the mayor did make a statement. He said" Thank goodness for metro safe so we found out about this drug house." Thanks Jerry that made every one feel so much better. Let's not say we are keeping the officers and their families in our thoughts and prayers as they face a difficult time dealing with being shot at and haveing to return fire and kill the suspect, NO instead you make another half witted plug in your re-election bid, just like the one where you showed up when the 4 kids were murdered. To everyone that isn't aware of Jerry's shameless election tactic, he in his career has only made one other homicide scene. That is when he was a brand new mayor and it was Standard Gravure.

i just moved in to the house right behind the meth lab a few months before this, i noticed helicopters flying low and in circles but i never put 2 and 2 together, i left maybe half an hour before it all went down so there could have been a good chance that i might have been hit by the gunfire the next mornin detectives were searching for shell casings on my way to work.

I am Chad's sister-in-law and the aunt of his wonderful son. Of you people who are saying good job and he got what he deserved I ask you this did his family and most importantly his son, who no matter what, loved his daddy deserve any of this? You all sound like heartless cold people. The news started showing (right after he was shot and killed) new methods to disarm a suspect, furthermore I know for a fact that it doesnt take the first shot in the head and 7 more after that to protect yourself, the one right in the right side of Chad's head I would assume did it. And just for anyone who is curious about the whole truth and nothing but the truth Chad never fired a shot, a casing to one of his bullets was never found, and yes while he did have a meth lab ALL of the results from autopsy, and the labs they did on the meth, say that A. he did not have meth in his system, and B. there was not enough meth that it woud have affected anyones home, the most it would have done was burned his shed. Also the reason the Courier Journal stopped printing about it is because I called them and told them that they were portraying him to be a monster when in real life he simply made a huge mistake so I hope that you all sleep well everynight, because my nephew doesnt, my nephew had to be put on medication and he has to come spend the night with me or his grandmother just to catch a break so you know, continue to be heartless and not pray for his family. Thanks alot.
