Deputy sheriffs aren't police officers? You may wish to consult the constitution of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, or at the very least, the Oath of Office on that one.

Yes they were Corrections Officers. This is not the first incident that they has LMPD looking like the bad guy from there screw ups. (they need to stop undercutting the off duty).

gas station @ 1st and Jefferson: they assaulted an off duty officer who was intoxicated and then got the person's 2 sgts reassigned and another still under investigation.

gas station @ 1st and Jefferson: they were going to arrest a female for being intoxicated. They let her back into her car, she started it and drove off. All while they stood there watching her (they should have locked her up and took the keys from the car, not letting her back into it to remove the keys herself upon their request). She exited the gas station and struck another vehicle. They then wanted LMPD to come and take the report on the incident (crash) and cover up their screwup.

There are alot of good people down there but some of them have no business trying to police.
